EDP Review:

"The Final Concert of this year's Aylsham Music Society lunchtime series featured the Oboist Cathy Wilcock and Sarah Andrew, who switched effortlessly from Violin to Viola and back again. Matthew Pitts, better known as the Organist of St Peter Mancroft, provided neat and sympathetic Piano accompaniment and also interpreted an early Beethoven Sonata with an attractive blend of restraint and stronger emotion.

The Baroque sonata by Quantz and Loillet gave the Oboe and Violin ample opportunity to reveal their style. In alternate fast and slow movements the two instruments took up tunes and rhythmic patterns and passed them from one to the other. This never became a competition. It was a friendly partnership of equals who could each delight in the other's differences of tone and attack........"
